In Heves Region, Hort is one of the biggest civil parish, with nearly 4000 citizens. The land holds 43 square-kilometer.
The village both from North and South connecting onto M3 highway. It can be reached from the nearby cities Hatvan and Gyöngyös through the third motorway. The national rail line beetwen Miskolc and Budapest runs at the side of the parish. Hort's region is in connection with 10000 nearby living people. Since the highway was finished, Hort participates in international transportation and national geographical sights. Budapest is 60 kilometer far, and only half an hour away. Towards east is Eger, Miskolc and the eastern market (Ukrain, Belarussia), going towards south we reach Jászberény, Szolnok and Szeged, moving to North we get to Salgótarján. Traveling from North to South from Poland is straight way down to the Adriatic Sea, crossing Hort to change highways.
The village was mentioned first in 1250. In the XX. Century it exist as a civil parish.
This region is well known from it's agricultural part groving grains and melons. It has 155 entrepreneur.
In the village the infrastructure is built and the urban roads are asphalt pavemented. This area is safety and the crime is low, fortunately.
The local government supports greenfield investments.
